My wife is permanently ill with a couple of incurable, but non-fatal conditions.
My father had a couple of those incurable conditions and had to take a medical retirement from civil service (of course, this was after 20 years in the military where he acquired the beginnings of two of his medical problems. My mother took good care of him -- I'm trying to follow her example with Donna. Although, in Donna's case the prognosis is much better and the need for this level of care temporary. I hope Susan does at least as well as my father did.
Please know Randall that you're both in my thoughts.
Thank you. Fortunately, she has a month to recover before much else will be done. She'll have a another CT scan then and they will decide if chemo is a good idea. One doctor really doesn't think it will be. The other isn't as sure. We'll see but are hoping it will not be needed.
